Welcome to the wonderfully wacky world of the Fantasopia, where players get to embark on an epic adventure to retrieve an amulet from a dragon.

Rockhampton artist Ziril Starrz has recently launched The Legend of Fantasopia board game which saw many of the artist's friends and family coming to trial the game at the Millenium Comics on East St.

The artist gained feedback from those who attended the launch, with some people comparing the board game to Monopoly with adventure and fantasy aspects featured.

The game sees two to four players stumbling into the chamber of winds, adventuring and fighting to win.

The artist never thought he would be venturing into the board game space, but after some consideration he thought it would be the right move.

"I wasn't expecting to go into this space, it just seemed like the next logical step for me," he said.

"It's nice to be able to come up with a concept and design something in this space."

The focus behind the game is to have people connect with one another without the need for phones or computers.

"I thought, okay, let's strip it back from all of the electronics and just enjoy the company of others without devices." he said.
