From International business, to modelling, to arts, to metaphysics, to leisure pursuits, to sports, Ziril Starrz reflects on his sporting achievements as he feels fully completed.
"Yes, after retiring from competitive competition in 2015, I do not plan on returning to any competitive sporting field" also sharing posts on Facebook earlier this year. Returning back to the original hometown where his netball pals rekindle the old flare announced he did not have any more netball goals.
Happily single, as he has been since 2015, his journey included competing in both indoor and outdoor netball realms, for both Mens and Mixed Netball finally breaking the international scene in 2014 under the guidance of his Coach Thomas O'Reilly, when he found out about his Coach's passing earlier last year when he returned home.
Starrz did not take to it very well after finding out about the news. He remembered being under his wing since he took to the courts competitively in 2001 with Thomas Captaining his side.
After that season, Thomas relocated however still had an invested interest in him.
Starrz started cracking the regional competitions in 2001, state competitions in 2002 and then national competitions in 2010.
Some of his netball highlights include being Awarded MVP of his State Mixed Team and then MVP for the National Mens Team that toured internationally, back to back, in the same year in which he dedicates his Awards to him.
Finishing off his netball dream of finally competing in the Indoor National Championships representing his hometown, not a metropolian city with his same Captain/Coach from his begginings, Thomas O'Reilly.
Starrz received news shortly after his return and O'Reilly's passing, from other players that, Starrz was his Coaches favourite.
"That's a moment and memory I will cherish for a very long time, that someone as dedicated as him supported and pushed me. 13 years is a very long time when I look back". As he looks head ticking his boxes in pursuing leisure and entertainment fields with his Forever and Perfect Eternity brand.
Starrz said he would like to thank all of his netball pals in his netball journey.
He also mentioned it was nice being able to participate in the selection of a Over 30's Ladies Side in nominating Ladies from various towns to participate in next years national championships with his last netball involvement and connection before fully stepping away from the netball realm and pursuing other interests.
