ZIRIL HEARTZEN STARRZ, BORN IN 1983

Winds of Dezire is the discovery of a new world.  I have been an artist in practice from a young age.  My parents established a Torres Strait Islander art organisation in the early 90's which I had opportunities to be apart of and where I built my foundational skills of arts, crafts and culture.

I since studied art in high school and practiced art by participating in community art workshops.  Honing in on my art skills only recently led me to discover other forms of art and experimenting with new types of genres.

Creating Fantasopian Art is a process I found therapeutic and way to communicate and express myself to others in various forms as to seeing me in my physical form.  It took years of study, research and travel to find my true self and who I am, my style of art.

Fantasopian Art explores relationships between humans and plants.  I have been working on the Oracle of the Four Winds Collection since 2017.  This particular collection was extremely complex yet rewarding.  To be the Illustrator and Writer of this release is a huge personal achievement.
